PAL is pathetic and maybe dangerous? I just got back from Brisbane to Manila then return. The outward leg on 12th June 2024 didn't make it to Manila, it diverted to Clark base stating low on fuel because of going around a storm!!! Airlines are meant to fuel to allow for contingencies including alternates in bad weather, this is a bullshit excuse! SOP also has a need for any internal flight that has landed other than at manila, must be 'fully fuelled' to then fly into manila, leaving us waiting for fuel truck and a full re-fuelling at Clark! Once finally on the ground in manila, not an air-bridge, but a wait for stairs and then a further wait for buses...it was raining, the final straw they wouldn't de-plane us as they didn't have umbrellas for the small gap above the stairs and the doorway of the plane!!! Uproar onboard and people were ready to storm the doorway, umbrellas at that moment had appeared, but we were getting off even if they hadn't! Prisoners of PAL, not passengers!!! Return flight during my two weeks in Phils, got an email, the return flight was delays from 20th just before midnight to after midnight, making it the 21st. Boarding was to begin at 11.50pm on 20th for a 12.30am departure on 21st. Announcement at 11.50pm, the plane is delayed and expected to land at 12.06am. Turn around was not going to take less than an hour, but they kept people guessing while all stuck in at the gate having come through all the security checks...again PAL prisoners! Finally got off around 2am! NEVER AGAIN with PAL. I suspect a lot of airlines if not all treat paying passengers as cattle...we are not human, we are not to be looked after as paying customers, we are expected to show them all the respect and get shit thrown back at us in return! Happy to do road-trips in Australia moving forwards, world travel has become a bloody joke! Haven't even gone into the rape of my luggage hahaha, had enough, signed a Grumpy old man!

Try the Seven Terraces, every room is a split-level suite. Having stayed there & CFT Mansion, I definitely prefer 7 Terraces. Its more pricey though, but no tourists come around to gawk.

We've always enjoyed PAL's service, they fly A330-300 from Sydney. Must admit we've never enjoyed MNL airport, always hot and crowded.

Thank you for visiting! Brunei's such a chill and relaxing place, and I personally love it for that. It's a great escape from the busy city life. It's perfect if you're looking for a place to wind down, meet friendly people, learn about the culture and have some delicious foods haha If you ever have the chance to visit again, I wish you could try our ambuyat and take a boat trip to see the proboscis monkeys, crocodiles, and fireflies! But I'm glad you managed to visit the mosques and Empire (did you know there's a bowling alley and cinema there?) Also sadly since everyone travels by car the pedestrian lights aren't well-maintained but still I feel that walking around feels very safe and tranquil. Just very hot and humid hahahah. The nature here is underrated tho like greenery everywhere, clean air, and beautiful sunsets.
